Humble beginnings, God led. Kem's Lotus Candles

Here at Kem's lotus we believe that God has a plan in everything, and that things happen for a reason. Especially when you live your life being led by God, which we do.

It has been a lifelong dream to share my creativity in candle making with the world. However, through life's tough journey, as a single parent, and while battling a lifelong illness, my dreams had to be put on hold.  It wasn't until after having lost my job, in which I sacrificed my family time, working overtime without compensation and sacrificing my health even more, that finally gave me the push in the right direction for the creation of Kem's Lotus candles.

The time has finally come to fulfil my lifelong dream, and we are ready to delight you with our luxury scented candle collections. Bringing you simple comfort and joy, by lighting Kem's lotus candles one home at a time. I truly hope you will enjoy my candles as much as I will enjoy making them for you.

Choosing our name

After much thought, on what I should name my business that could encompass my life's journey, it felt like out of the blue one-day, God just enlightened me with the simple thought for the name lotus.  After looking up the word lotus to see how it related to me, I was beyond amazed to see that it completely described what I wanted my company to represent.

Lotus meaning/representation:

Purity, Rebirth

The lotus flower symbolizes purity, overcoming adversity and rebirth. All of the lotus flower's meanings are positive in nature. In general, the lotus commonly serves as a sacred for purity, rebirth and strength because lotuses rise from the mud without stain.

Similar to my life's journey, having made me stronger by overcoming adversity, and being able to restart a new path in life that will make me happy doing what I love. It's me rising up from the mud of life's past without stains and putting my energy into making simple products, while elegantly exhibiting its natural luxurious beauty.
